Chip Krese led off the third with a walk, Edward (E.J.) Balewitz Jr. laced a two-run home run to center, trimming the deficit to 5-2.
The Pioneers broke the game open, scoring three times in the third, five in the fourth, and a solo run in the fifth to lead 14-2. Stevens added two tallies in the sixth as a leadoff single by Krese and walks to
Alex Santora and
Ethan Simpson loaded the bases.
Nate Hill brought a run home on a ground ball to first before Simpson scooted home on a wild pitch.
Stevens finished their scoring in the seventh on an
Aaron Wong sacrifice fly, before the Pioneers capped off the day with two runs in the seventh and three in the eighth.
