Women's Tennis Edges Dickinson, 4-3 in Regional Clash

Box Score Carlisle, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team took down Dickinson College 4-3 in a crucial regional battle on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Stevens led 1-0 after doubles, claiming two of the three flights. Wei-Wei Lai and Lorena Piegas earned a 6-4 triumph at the No. 1 spot, with Alix Dry and Kaylee Hobbick winning 6-3 at No. 3. The duo of Stephanie Untermeyer and Gigi Arenas competed hard but fell 6-4.

Dry won 7-6, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot, with Lai winning at No. 4 by the identical scoreline. Hobbick gave Stevens the win, outlasting her opponent in three sets. Hobbick won the first 6-3 before falling 6-2. The first-year came away with a 6-2 win in the third set to win at No. 5. Piegas went three at No. 2 singles but was upended 10-5 in the third and deciding set.
