No. 9 Men's Lacrosse Keep On Rolling With 24-1 Win Over Delaware Valley

Hoboken, N.J. – The No. 9 Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team played another dominant MAC Freedom game Wednesday night, scoring 15 unanswered goals in the first quarter during a 24-1 win over Delaware at DeBaun Athletic Complex.

Stevens (14-2) scored at least 20 goals for the sixth straight game while picking up its ninth straight win and 44th straight MAC Freedom regular season victory. 14 players scored at least one goal and seven scored at least two.

How It Happened
The Ducks scored five goals in the first 3:30, eight goals in less than five minutes, 10 goals in less than seven minutes, and 13 in less than 10 minutes from the opening face-off. Will Labartino scored five of the Ducks' first 10, with Miles du bois, Tynan Murray, Chris Ciccarello, Matt Pergola, and Mac Waynick scoring the other five. Tyler Holland, Matthew Pergola, Kevin Burns, and Jack Tenaglia (twice) added the final five of the first quarter barrage that featured 21 shots on goal.

William Fritsche, du bois, and Burns each added a goal in the second quarter, as the Ducks headed to the locker room with a 39-2 shot advantage, 34-5 ground ball advantage, and 17-3 face-off advantage.

Delaware Valley finally got on the board in a third quarter that also featured goals from Simon Hanford, Matthew Kirschner, and Fritsche. In the fourth, Kirschner, Tyler Johnson, and Luke Shaffer all added on for Stevens.
