Annville, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology had six individuals selected Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Senior Scholar-Athletes for their respective sports, the conference office announced Friday, comprising more than half of the 11 total honorees.

Established prior to the start of the 2000-01 season, the MAC Senior Scholar-Athletes are traditionally announced after the completion of each sport season, The awards are bestowed to one senior student-athlete from each sport who exhibits top academic excellence and athletic prowess. The MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete Award is based 50 percent on academics and 50 percent on athletic achievements.
Sibbach has already etched his name in program history, setting the career wins record earlier this season, while sitting in the Top 3 in strikeouts. Three times a First or Second Team All-MAC Freedom selection, Sibbach also became just the second player in known program history named an All-American following a 2024 campaign when he was named conference Pitcher of the Year, posting an ERA under 2.00 while holding hitters to a sub-.200 batting average. Off the field, he currently carries a 3.604 GPA.
Lesizza, like Sibbach. also set a career program record this year, entering the final weekend of the regular season with 163 caused turnovers, more than 40 ahead of the previous record holder. Lesizza has twice been named a USILA All-American, twice been named MAC Freedom Defenseman of the Year, and thrice been named First Team All-MAC Freedom. The Fairfield, Conn. native has a 3.85 GPA.
Sullivan has been as proficient on the field as she's been off it. Already a three-time IWLCA All-Region First Team, MAC Freedom Defender of the Year, AND First Team All-MAC Freedom selection, she holds a perfect 4.00 GPA.
Kanz and Untermeyer have both been pivotal pieces for men's and women's tennis programs who will each be seeking at least a fifth consecutive MAC Freedom crown later this month.
Kanz is one singles victory away from 60 for his career following a 2022-23 through 2024-25 that saw him honored three times as First or Second Team All-MAC Freedom, as well as 2024-25 conference Player of the Year AND Tournament MVP. He currently sports a 3.97 GPA.
Equally proficient in singles and doubles, Untermeyer – another three-time First All-MAC Freedom selection – surpassed 30 career singles wins and 40 career doubles wins this season, and holds a 3.88 GPA.
Hoke took home his first career All-America and second career All-MAC honor earlier this month, capping a career that he concluded among the program's all-time Top 10 in hitting percentage, solo blocks, and total blocks. Like Kanz, he also holds a 3.97 GPA.
Joining the Stevens six as league honorees were York's Jacob Fripp and Grace Strickland (Men's and Women's Golf), Lebanon Valley's Michael De Falcis (Men's Outdoor Track and Field), Misericordia's Alexander Snyder (Women's Outdoor track and Field), and York's Gretchen Barstad (Softball).
