Field Hockey Returns To Action At New Paltz

HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 6, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team (7-4) will look to end its two-game skid Wednesday when it travels to No. 19 SUNY-New Paltz.

Game time is set for 4 p.m. on the North Turf Field in New Paltz.  

LAST TIME OUT
Despite out-shooting Hartwick College 22-11 Saturday, the Ducks dropped their second conference game of the year in a 3-1 loss.

IT ENDS HERE
Stevens will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak against New Paltz after a 4-2 loss last season in Hoboken.

SCOUTING REPORT
Sporting a national ranking, New Paltz (9-2) enters Wednesday on a two-game winning streak. Kayla McKeveny leads the Hawks with eight goals and 16 points, while Alayna Wageman has 56 saves and two shutouts.

CROSSOVER
Stevens and New Paltz have shared similar opponents this season in Montclair State University, and The College at Brockport. The Ducks are 1-1 in those matchups, while New Paltz is 2-0.

Senior Dailyn Brook and sophomore Victoria Alvarez lead the Ducks with 19 and 18 points respectively. The Stevens duo ranks second and fourth in the Empire 8 Conference in that category this season. 

VERGE OF HISTORY
With the Stevens goal on Saturday, Brook tied the program's all-time scoring record of 53.

Junior Nolie Prouty leads the E8 with seven assists this fall.

New Paltz will be the Ducks fourth opponent this season that is either ranked nationally, or receiving votes.
