  • Score: No. 4 Johns Hopkins University 113; No. 25 Stevens Institute of Technology Men's Swimming: 89
  • Location: Natatorium (Newton White Athletic Center) - Baltimore, Md.
  • Short Story: The 25th-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team collected victories in four different events, but ultimately fell to No. 4 Johns Hopkins University, 113-89 Saturday afternoon in Baltimore.

Top Performers
  • Freshman Theodore Jagodits bested the field in the 200-yard freestyle to win the first event of the day for Stevens. The Poolesville, Maryland native reached the wall in 1:47.22.
  • Junior Vincent Tavoletti completed the 100-yard butterfly in 52.31 seconds to reach the wall first. Tavoletti finished nearly a full second ahead of his closest competitor. Freshman Kurt von Autenried placed third.
  • Junior Christopher Ludeke reached the wall in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.59, finishing ahead of sophomore Tyler Zanki and senior Gene Han as Stevens swept the event.
  • The final victory of the day came in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Sophomore Jonas Lackey, Jagodits, Ludeke and von Autenried finished in first place with a time of 1:28.52. The quartet finished four seconds of the second-place team, however, Stevens swept the event.
  • Sophomore Daniel Rosenberger improved his time in the 1,000 freestyle, finishing third with a time of 10:15.21.
  • Three swimmers earned points for the Ducks in the 100-yard freestyle race. Freshman Blake Holland, sophomore Trevor Hinds and Lackey, placed second through fifth, respectively, earning 10 points towards the team total.
  • Junior Sam Fuller took second in the 100-yard backstroke, reaching the wall in 54.78 seconds. The Severna Park, Maryland native also placed third in the 500 free.

Up Next
  • Stevens returns to the pool in one week, when the Ducks head to Swarthmore, Pennsylvania for a tri-meet with Rowan University and the hosting Garnet. The swimming gets under way at 1 p.m.
