ANNVILLE, Pa. (April 12, 2022)  – Sophomore Vivek Harinarayan of the No. 39 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team was named MAC Freedom Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

It is the second career weekly honor and the first of the season for the Forest Hill, Maryland native. It is the second weekly award for the men's tennis program in the spring season. 

Harinarayan went 8-0 as No. 39 Stevens defeated Arcadia, Misericordia, and FDU-Florham in MAC Freedom play while also taking down TCNJ in non-conference action. In singles competition, Harinarayan only lost four singles games on the week, including losing zero games in six out of the eight sets he played. He also partnered with first-year Max-William Kanz to go 4-0 at second doubles, including winning two matches in 8-0 fashion.

Up Next: No. 39 Men's Tennis returns to the courts on Friday, April 14 with a home tilt against NYU. The Ducks are 7-5 all-time against the Violets, including winning the last three matches. The contest will be a Mental Health Awareness match.
