Men’s Soccer Hosts Houghton Saturday

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 25, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team will look to extend its unbeaten streak to five Saturday when it hosts Houghton College in Empire 8 Conference action.

MATCH INFO
Match time is set for 3 p.m. at the De Baun Athletic Complex in Hoboken.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks recorded their second five-goal performance of the season Wednesday in a 5-0 rout over Swarthmore College. Senior Carson Pryor scored twice, while senior Colin Phillips added a goal and two assists.

SCOUTING REPORT
Houghton is currently riding a three-match unbeaten streak to bring its record to 4-3-1 on the season. Jordan Mullen leads the Highlanders with six goals, while Ben Lawrence has three goals and three assists.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Ducks are 2-1 against Houghton since they joined the E8, including a 1-0 win last fall. Each match has ended in a 1-0 decision.

DUCK DYNASTY
Stevens has won eight consecutive E8 titles, and hasn't dropped a match in conference since 2009. Additionally, the Ducks have allowed just two goals in their last 13 E8 matches.

HOME SWEET HOBOKEN
The Ducks haven't dropped a match in Hoboken since last August, outscoring opponents 43-3 in the process.

SHARING THE WEALTH
Phillips, junior Jay Mikula, senior Joe Cellitti, and sophomore Tommy Dorsay have each tallied multiple assists for the Ducks this season. Entering play on Friday, the Ducks lead the E8 in average assists per game.
